Good morning,

The answer is yes and no. I have BASIC-256 compiling and running on my Nexus7 (Android tablet) but there are several problems.

Most of them are with the QT EditText widget in QT5.2 and how it handles finger taps and the keyboard on a text entry box. It will compile and run a program but editing/creating one is virtually impossible until the QT library gets updated or we find a "hack". QT5.3 is in beta but I have not tried it to see if the widget it better.

Jim, Thank you.!

Buy tablet with this OS thinking that would have several options, but from what I've seen, there are few programming languages in this system.

(I'll have to switch to another tablet with Windows.)

Regards!

I have been working quite hard on a stable Android port. It is not 100% but it works pretty well on my Nexus 7 (4.4) and my HTC phone (4.0). Check it out at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.basic256.basic256ide

Hi, Jim:

I tried Basic - 256 for Android 4.2.2 on my tablet and apparently works well.

The windows and the menus are very interesting options.!
I edited with different fonts and sizes and goes well.!
I have also tried the grid viewport and goes well.

(I have not tried the modification of the size of the windows and I can not comment.)

I tried with this simple program:

cls
print "Hello"
print 9999 * 9999
circle 100,100,50
end

It works super fast!

thanks

Hi,
I am just curious: are there still plans to port Basic256 to Android?
I have checked Google Play, but it is not available at the moment.
