The concept "between" (New Features)

I would like to standardize the logic function "between".

I know, there are these "concepts" logical:

, <,> =, <=, Last, first, last, substring ...

This concept also applies to text and numbers, words, letters ...

Let's start with the numbers:

... but whether a number "may be" between two other numbers, is different if a number is between two numbers.

Example numbers:

50 can not be between 1 and 25 (if in a list of data), but not in a logical sequence of numbers.

15 if can be between 1 and 25 in a logical sequence of numbers.

Now with text:

The word "eeee", if it can be between: "aaaxx" and "ggggh" in a logical sequence of words ...

.... but it would not be right that was between: "aaa" and "ddd" (if in a data list)

... but working with text, "aaa" <> "AAA"

My question is:

The concept "between" you can accept as a logical function?

If the answer is no, why not?

If the answer is yes, why not use it?

What you think about it ee concept "between"?
